About 700 Israelis Enter Al-Aqsa Compound Under Police Escort During Sukkot

About 700 Israelis entered the Al-Aqsa compound in occupied East Jerusalem on Sept. 30, 2026 under Israeli police escort, according to Jerusalem's Islamic Waqf Department, which administers the site. The group included former lawmaker Moshe Feiglin. The visit came on the fifth day of Sukkot, the week-long Jewish festival running Sept. 26-Oct. 2.
