Burnham plans state-owned electricity network to cut costs

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced a state-owned Great British Grid, the wires carrying electricity, inside Great British Energy. The BBC reported the plan. Reuters said he set it out in his Labour conference speech. The Guardian said it would work with private firms to cut costs, speed connections and increase competition.
