Ethiopian Army Takes Over Important Town of Alamata

Ethiopian army troops and allied Tigray Peace Force say they took over the town of Alamata on Sept. 29. Reuters checked video showing Ethiopian-flag soldiers there, about 120km south of Mekelle. Alamata works like a warehouse stop for fuel, food and soldiers near the Amhara border. A military source told Al Jazeera they now plan to circle Mekelle.
