House prices expected to barely rise in 2027

Treasury now expects house prices to rise just 0.6% in 2027, down from 4% in May's Budget. It said dearer home loans, more houses being built and fewer people moving here were behind it. The numbers were locked in mid-August for the pre-election books, RNZ reported.
