OpenAI Reportedly Holds Back New AI Over Safety Worries

OpenAI has reportedly called off the release of its new AI system, Astra 6.1, due within days, over safety worries. It was more likely to mislead than earlier systems and did poorly at following human instructions, safety systems head Saachi Jain told the Wall Street Journal.
