National says no new taxes, books back in surplus and lower spending

National has put out an 11-page plan for the economy. It says no new taxes, the Government's books back in surplus — spending less than collected — in 2028/29, and Government spending below 30 percent of GDP, the country's income. Announced 28 September. It earlier said spending would move towards 30 percent.
