Facebook Owner Misled New Mexico Over Privacy, Jury Says

A jury in New Mexico found Meta, the company behind Facebook, broke state rules against unfair business practices. It said Facebook misled local people about how it protected their private information and dealt with false information. Meta is now legally responsible under that state law for those privacy claims.
