71,000 Children in Yemen Had to Leave Home in Three Weeks

Nearly 130,000 people in Yemen — including 71,000 children — had to leave their homes in the last three weeks, says UNICEF, the UN agency for children. Most left from or inside Taiz, an area in the southwest, it said Sept. 25. So many arrivals will strain shelters and aid, with over 12 million children in Yemen already needing help.
