New York Sues Website for Betting on Future Events

New York Attorney General Letitia James and Gov. Kathy Hochul sued Polymarket's U.S. business on Sept. 24, 2026. They say its site, where users put money on what will happen next, counts as gambling under state law. The state wants a court order to stop unlicensed operation in New York, citing alleged betting by people under age.
