Why school holidays don't match work leave

The head of parents group The Parenthood, Georgie Dent, told the National Press Club on 23 September Australian parents must cover at least 814 hours of care a year. That's 12 weeks of school holidays versus four weeks of full-time work leave. Split it two ways, she said, couples still can't cover it.
