Call of Duty Maker to Run Halo and Other Microsoft Games

Microsoft announced Sept. 22, 2026 that Activision, makers of shooter Call of Duty, will run Halo, Sea of Thieves and Age of Empires. A new Activision team, separate from Call of Duty, will build the next major Halo game, while Halo Studios supports Halo Infinite and Halo: Campaign Evolved. World's Edge and Rare UK join Activision.
