Burnham to raise fears EU plan will shut out British factories

Andy Burnham is expected to meet Ursula von der Leyen in New York on Tuesday, 22 September. He said the EU’s Made In Europe plan, giving its firms first pick of government orders over Chinese rivals, risks “collateral damage” to British factories. He will press for UK participation. The Industrial Accelerator Act behind it is yet to be finalised.
