Burnham to warn von der Leyen of 'collateral damage' to UK manufacturing

Andy Burnham is expected to meet Ursula von der Leyen in New York on Tuesday, 22 September. He said the EU's Made In Europe plan, which would favour EU firms for public contracts to curb Chinese firms, risks "collateral damage" to British manufacturing. He will press for UK participation. The Industrial Accelerator Act is yet to be finalised.
