Tropical countries will feel relief last even after the world stops adding extra heat-trapping gases, University of Melbourne scientists found. Uneven warming that hits poorer hot places hardest would stay in place, not fade, said Dr Andrew King. Cutting pollution faster would shrink that gap. The study in Environmental Research Letters linked temperature shifts to each country's economic output.
