U.S. Ceasefire Deal Between Israel and Lebanon Is Falling Apart

A ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon brokered by the U.S. in June has collapsed. Hezbollah rejected it; Israel's defense minister said fighting would continue anyway. Israeli strikes killed at least four people on June 16—the deadliest day in over a week. The agreement exists in name only. Without both sides committed, it cannot actually stop the fighting.
