Spider-Man and The Odyssey drive biggest domestic box-office weekend ever
Spider-Man: Brand New Day grossed $927m worldwide, the second-largest global opening on record, per The Guardian. Domestic — the US and Canada — took $355m. Paired with The Odyssey, the frame set the all-time biggest domestic weekend, Rentrak's Paul Dergarabedian said. Year-to-date domestic receipts remain 16% below 2019. Sunday figures are studio estimates.
