Laurie Daley steps down as NSW Blues coach days after Origin series win

Laurie Daley has stepped down as NSW Blues coach, ending his second stint days after guiding New South Wales to a 2-1 State of Origin series win over Queensland in the decider at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium. Health issues during the series and an expiring contract contributed to his decision. Daley endorsed assistant Matt King as his successor; the NSWRL has not yet confirmed an appointment.
