Breast Cancer Scans May Also Reveal Heart Disease Risk, Study Says

A study of nearly 97,400 breast cancer screening images from about 30,000 women, shared at a 2026 heart-health meeting in Munich, found that a computer program spotted past strokes 86% of the time and heart or blood-pressure problems around 78–79% — using scans already being done, at no extra cost. Heart disease is the top killer of women worldwide.
