Zara's owner opens a cheaper clothing chain in the UK
Inditex, the company that owns Zara, opened its first UK Lefties store on 27 August 2026. Lefties sells cheaper clothes, putting it up against rivals like Primark and Shein. The Liverpool One shop spans 50,000 square feet, and over 100 people queued before it opened. Two more stores are planned this year — in Essex and Newcastle. Lefties started in 1999 and now has 225 shops across 20 countries.
