Jerusalem court sends nun's attacker to psychiatric hospital instead of prison
A Jerusalem court cleared Yona Schreiber, 36, of criminal charges after a psychiatrist found he was in a psychotic state — meaning he had lost touch with reality — during the April attack on a French nun near Mount Zion. Schreiber pushed and kicked the researcher, who hit her head on stone. Judge Ofir Tishler ordered up to six years of psychiatric hospitalization.
