Preservation Group Asks Supreme Court to Stop White House Ballroom Project

A group that protects historic buildings asked the Supreme Court on August 18 to pause a $400 million White House ballroom project while justices decide if it can continue. The massive addition is 65% finished and has already torn down part of the East Wing. The Trump administration wants construction to proceed. A decision is expected within days.
