Police find stolen Matisse art worth over R$1 million

Brazilian police have found eight artworks by Henri Matisse — an artist famous for bold colors and flowing shapes — eight months after thieves snatched them from a São Paulo library in December 2025. Three suspects were detained. Police think the art may have already been sold. Five other stolen artworks are still missing.
