Apple warns users in 110 countries about targeted spyware attacks

Apple has warned users in 110 countries that highly targeted spyware — software secretly installed to monitor phones — may have tried to attack them. That's the largest number of countries yet in Apple's warning program, up from 92 in April 2024 and 84 in December 2025. Citizen Lab's John Scott-Railton first reported the alerts. Apple also updated its warning messages and added a new help page.
