Kennedy Center Ordered to Pay Jazz Musician $252,000

A D.C. judge ordered the Kennedy Center to pay $252,479.70 in legal fees to jazz musician Chuck Redd. He canceled a Christmas Eve concert after the Trump-controlled board voted to rename the institution. The judge threw out the Center's lawsuit under a law that protects people who speak out on public issues. The Center plans to appeal.
