Detained New Zealander says Peters got it wrong

A New Zealand woman held for 73 days in a United States immigration jail says she was never asked about her past cannabis conviction. Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters said she was locked up because she did not declare it. Everlee Wihongi told RNZ that is not true. The conviction was later overturned by a court.
