Anthropic Will Tag All Claude AI Output Under New EU Rule

Anthropic will tag all text and files from its Claude AI models to comply with a new EU rule, effective August 2, 2026. The rule says AI-made content must carry hidden labels that computers can read. New models already have this; older ones are being updated. Text tags survive copy-paste. Google, Meta, Microsoft, and OpenAI have also agreed to the same rule.
