Military officials say Trump administration scrubbed four post-cease-fire deaths from Iran war casualty list

Three military officials told the New York Times the Trump administration removed four service members from the Pentagon's Iran war casualty list because their deaths occurred after Trump's April 2026 cease-fire. A Pentagon spokesperson called it "temporary data disruptions." The four soldiers — killed July 18–20 in Jordan and Iraq — had been honored at Dover Air Force Base one day before the list was revised downward.
