PC Harper killers could face early release under Sentencing Act in September
Two men convicted over the killing of PC Andrew Harper could be freed early when the Sentencing Act takes effect in September, LBC reported. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said the killers should remain in prison, posting: "There is no justification for this." PC Harper's mother, Debbie Adlam, also criticised the prospect. Ministers face pressure to legislate a carve-out for killers of emergency workers.
