PC Harper killers could face early release under new Sentencing Act
Two men convicted over the killing of PC Andrew Harper could be freed early when the Sentencing Act takes effect in September, LBC reported. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said the killers should stay in prison. PC Harper's mother, Debbie Adlam, also criticised the prospect. Ministers face pressure to create a carve-out — an exception — for killers of emergency workers.
