Lineker and 119 wealthy Britons urge PM Burnham to impose 2% wealth tax

The BBC reported that 120 affluent Britons, including Gary Lineker, Brian Eno and Richard Curtis, signed a "Proud to Pay" letter to Prime Minister Andy Burnham backing a 2% tax on wealth above £10 million. The group Patriotic Millionaires organised the appeal, addressed to Burnham as "new prime minister." No government response to the proposal was reported.
