Jamie Vardy joins bottom-of-the-Championship Burnley at 39

Jamie Vardy has signed for Burnley on a season-long deal at 39, returning to English football after a year at Cremonese in Italy. The Premier League winner with Leicester in 2016 joins a side bottom of the Championship with no wins from five. He turns 40 in January. Burnley next play Wrexham away on September 8.
