Apple plans to end end-to-end encryption for iCloud files shared via 'Anyone with the Link'

Apple plans to scan iCloud Drive files shared with 'Anyone with the Link' for harmful content, starting with iOS 27.3 and other 27.3 updates slated for December. Those items would no longer be end-to-end encrypted and would be accessible to Apple. Apple also reserves the right to remove content and to block or disable accounts.
