UK Government Considers Restricting Smart Glasses Over Secret Filming Concerns

The UK government is considering restricting smart glasses in certain settings and possibly limiting sales to certain users. Safeguarding minister Satvir Kaur told the House of Commons on 4 November 2026. The move follows concerns that the glasses are being used to film women secretly. Kaur said the glasses also help visually impaired people navigate.
