Hackers Steal $6.3 Billion From Binance in Record Theft
Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance, the world's biggest cryptocurrency exchange, Reuters reports, calling it a record theft. Binance reported the security incident on October 29. Tether and Circle moved to freeze $2.38 billion in tokens. A freeze blocks transfers of those tokens; it does not return funds to Binance. Recovery and the unfrozen balance are not yet established.
