Prosecutors drop felony strangulation charge against Rick Ross; misdemeanor battery case remains
Prosecutors will not pursue a felony battery-by-strangulation charge against rapper Rick Ross (William Leonard Roberts II), Rolling Stone reports. He will instead face one misdemeanor battery and domestic violence charge, to which he has pleaded not guilty. The charge follows an Aug. 28 incident at his Star Island home, alleged by his live-in girlfriend. He has not been convicted.
