Record $6.3 Billion Hack at Binance; $2.38 Billion Frozen

Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance, the world's biggest crypto exchange (a platform for trading digital currencies), Reuters reports, calling it a record theft. Binance reported the incident October 29. Tether and Circle moved to freeze $2.38 billion in tokens. A freeze blocks transfers; it does not return funds to Binance. Recovery and unfrozen balance are not yet established.
