Alexa's 3D Home Map Setup Requires a LiDAR iPhone Room Scan

Setting up Amazon's new 3D Alexa Home Map requires walking through and scanning every room with an iPhone that has a LiDAR or structured-light sensor, taking 15 to 20 minutes for an average home. Amazon is testing a plain-video scanner for iOS and Android as an alternative. Existing 2D Map View maps cannot be reused.
