Driver Asleep in Full Self-Driving Tesla Hits CHP Cars, Injures Two Officers

A 22-year-old Sacramento driver told California Highway Patrol he was asleep with Tesla's Full Self-Driving engaged when his Tesla struck parked patrol vehicles on Interstate 80 on Oct. 13, 2026. Two Solano CHP officers were seriously injured and hospitalized. The driver sustained minor injuries.
