ACT promises to scrap rental loss ring-fencing for landlords

The ACT Party has promised to scrap rental loss ring-fencing, RNZ reported. Under current rules, rental losses can only offset rental profits. ACT leader David Seymour said allowing landlords to deduct losses against other income in the same year would improve viability of rental investment, including in new homes.
