Peters says he did not tell PM or health minister before UN abstention

Winston Peters told RNZ Morning Report he did not notify the Prime Minister or Health Minister in the week New Zealand abstained on the UN pandemic declaration. He said he told Simeon Brown weeks earlier. According to RNZ, New Zealand was one of two to abstain. The ministry said it backed the aim but sought to protect sovereign health decisions.
