NHTSA Evaluating Petition Alleging Tesla Robotaxis Speed in Active School Zones

NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation received a Sept. 23, 2026 petition alleging 2026 Tesla Model Y and Cybercab robotaxis with Automated Driving System engaged exceed posted limits in active school zones. NHTSA is evaluating the allegations.
