Banning Curse director to miss London premiere after UK visa denial

Iranian writer-director Mohsen Amiryousefi and editor Kamy Saffari were denied UK visas and will miss the world premiere of The Banning Curse, set for Wednesday in the 70th BFI London Film Festival programme, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Amiryousefi spoke to The Hollywood Reporter via Zoom through an interpreter about the film.
