NHTSA Evaluating Claim That Tesla Robotaxis Speed in School Zones

NHTSA's defect-investigation office is evaluating a Sept. 23, 2026 petition alleging 2026 Tesla Model Y and Cybercab robotaxis exceed posted limits in active school zones when their automated driving system, the software driving the car, is engaged.
