Russia Tells WHO No Plague Cases in Irkutsk After Lab Worker's Death

Russian authorities told the WHO there were no plague cases in Irkutsk after the Oct. 2 death of researcher Darya Shipilova, 28, of the Anti-Plague Institute. Rospotrebnadzor said no relevant pathogens were found in her contacts and checks are complete. The WHO says it is monitoring, as questions persist over how the pneumonia death was assessed.
