Pays Accounts Used '123456' in Danish ID Register Breach

At least three accounts at Pays, an IT firm based in Funen, used the password "123456" when attackers entered Denmark's Central Person Register. The attackers used legitimate access to view names, addresses and CPR numbers — Denmark's national ID numbers — for about 8.8 million people. The password detail was reported Oct. 10, 2026.
