Three convicted of murdering Australian surfers and American friend in Mexico

On Oct. 9, 2026, three men were convicted in Ensenada, Baja California, of murdering Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and American friend Carter Rhoad during a 2024 Mexico surfing trip. The court heard it was a botched truck robbery. Prosecutors sought 150 years each; actual sentences are still to be set.
