UK court quashes ex-Deutsche Bank trader Bittar's Euribor conviction
London's Court of Appeal quashed former Deutsche Bank trader Christian Bittar's 2018 Euribor-rigging conviction on 9 October 2026, the eighth such reversal. Bittar had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud and received a five-year, four-month sentence. The Serious Fraud Office had argued the conviction was safe. The ruling follows the Supreme Court's overturning of Tom Hayes and Carlo Palombo.
