London judges cancel bank trader's cheating verdict
London appeal judges on 9 October 2026 cancelled ex-Deutsche Bank trader Christian Bittar's 2018 conviction for cheating to fix Euribor, a rate behind European loan costs. Bittar had admitted planning to cheat and got five years, four months. Fraud prosecutors said the verdict should stand. It is the eighth reversal since top judges cleared Tom Hayes and Carlo Palombo.
