U.S. Sanctions International Criminal Court, Bans Transactions

The U.S. State Department announced Oct. 9, 2026 that the United States is sanctioning the International Criminal Court and will ban transactions with the court. The designation was made pursuant to section 1(a)(ii)(A) of Executive Order 14203. The department stated the United States never joined the court, located in The Hague.
