Nobel winner Pillay led UN inquiry accusing Israel of genocidal acts in Gaza

2026 Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay chaired the UN inquiry on the occupied Palestinian territory. The commission concluded Israel committed genocidal acts in Gaza with specific intent to destroy Palestinians in Gaza and said Benjamin Netanyahu, Isaac Herzog and Yoav Gallant had incited genocide. Israel refused to cooperate and rejected the report as scandalous.
